Zhōnghuá Shèngmǔ, Blessed Virgin Mary 

  Our Lady of Dong Lu, 中华圣母,中華聖母, fabric mosaic was inspired by an officially sanctioned painting of Our Lady of She-Shan which was created in the early 20th century.  This mosaic commemorates the Marian apparition which occurred in 1900 in DongLu, China.  It is meant to honor the story of hope and deliverance which is a source of inspiration to millions.

Theodora, a symbol of the power and glory of western civilization framed within the softly scalloped edges of eastern arches.This points to the exotic and complex blend of western and eastern influences which shaped the Byzantine Empire.
